  18. If Thoreau Had a Hang Glider

  21. If Henry David Thoreau had a hang glider during his
  22. stay at Walden Pond, this is what he might have seen...

  24. THOREAU.ZIP is a fully functional screen saver, clock,
  25. and easy-to-use address book.  The screen saver's
  26. animation starts with an antique map of Walden Pond from
  27. the mid 1800's, and 'morphs' into a 3D scene from about
  28. 2000 feet above the pond.  Then the screen saver flies
  29. you into the 3D scene.

  31. The animation requires 256 color mode.  The screen saver 
  32. offers optional password protection and the address book
  33. allows you to store name, phone, address and comment entries.

  35. We kept this version small so folks could download it in a 
  36. reasonable amount of time.  A larger version of this 
  37. saver - with a longer animation, larger animation window,
  38. and the ability to store 50 address book entries, is 
  39. available from Menotomy Maps for $7.99 plus $2.00 for disks
  40. and mailing.  The larger version also includes a free
  41. program that enables you to quickly turn on your screen
  42. saver, and an easy one-step installation program.

  45. Note: To install this screen saver, unZIP the downloaded file
  46. and run INSTALL.BAT.  Use Control Panel / Desktop to
  47. select the saver and adjust the settings to your preferences.

  50. Your PC may already have it.  If not, you can find the file
  51. in the AOL Software library.
